CANCER GOLF TOURNAMENT

29TH ANNUAL STRATHROY CARADOC CANCER GOLF TOURNAMENT RAISES $29,750.00

The Strathroy Caradoc Cancer Golf Tournament (SCCGT) Committee presented Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital (SMGH) Foundation with a donation of $29,750.00 on July 20, 2015.

On hand for the presentation was (left to right): Roy O’Leary, Dan Wilcox, Roger Pascoa and Matt MacDonald of Meridian Lightweight Technologies; Marlene Duister, SCCGT Committee Chair; Ed Wheatley, SMGH Foundation Chief Development Officer; Gerry Van Hoof, SCCGT Committee; Drew Wilson of Bear Creek Golf & Country Club; Mark Sibley of Meridian Lightweight Technologies; and Mark Delobelle of Meridian Lightweight Technologies.

“We are so appreciative of the continued support of the SCCGT Committee,” said Susan McLean, SMGH Foundation CEO.  “The generous contribution raised through their exceptional event will greatly benefit local breast cancer programs.”

The 29th annual Strathroy Caradoc Golf Tournament was held on Saturday June 13, 2015 at Bear Creek Golf & Country Club.  The tournament consisted of two shotgun tee-times, lunch, putting contest, dinner, silent auction, 50/50 draw and wheelbarrow of cheer raffle.

“On behalf of the SCCGT, we want express our gratitude to Meridian for their corporate sponsorship this year,” said Marlene Duister, SCCGT Committee Chair.  “We also wish to thank the hole sponsors, silent auction donators, the golfers and Bear Creek for their contributions to the tournament.  We are pleased to organize this event for the SMGH Foundation, and in turn support our local community.”
